We’re on the lookout for a talented CNC Miller who can Program, Set, and Operate to join a growing team. You'll be at the heart of creating precision components, setting up and operating CNC machines, prepping new products, maintaining tools, and keeping everything on track to meet deadlines. Location: Cambridge

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (overtime available from 7am – 6pm most days and 4-5 hours on a Saturday)

Salary: Up to £19.00 Per Hour + A lot of overtime.

Duration: Permanent

Duties to Include:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines using Heidenhain and Siemens control systems
  • Program both online (at the machine) and offline , ensuring optimal tool paths and efficiency
  • Operate 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines, ensuring precision and quality throughout the machining process
  • Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings to machine components to specification
  • Conduct in-process inspection and quality checks on own work to ensure compliance with dimensional and surface finish requirements
  • Set up appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work holding to support production operations

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Proven experience operating and setting up 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machines (ideally within a precision engineering or aerospace environment)
  • Strong ability to set up, run, and troubleshoot CNC machines independently
  • Experience with manual milling machines is advantageous
  • Competent in reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances
  • A proactive and dependable team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
