We currently have multiple casual bus driver positions available at our Penrith depot. Industry leading rates apply with additional benefits and opportunities for career progression.
- Industry rates: $43.59 per hour (Weekday, shift loadings range from 15% - 100% depending on times of operation throughout the shift)

About us:
At Busways, our focus is on quality customer service, stakeholder engagement and employee development. For over 80 years, we’ve delivered a professional, reliable standard of service. We operate bus service contracts for Transport for NSW and other authorities, with a team of more than 2,800 people transporting millions of passenger journeys each year.
Hours of work:
Our drivers must be willing and flexible to work various shifts, including weekends, early mornings and late nights. A large portion of shifts for full-time drivers are split shifts to cover peak service times, with two portions of work to accommodate school and work commutes in the morning and afternoon. Outside of these hours you may head home or use our driver facilities. Some straight shifts may be available starting at varied times (morning, afternoon or evening). All depots operate seven days per week with Sunday and public holiday shifts being voluntary overtime.
Eligibility to apply:
- A current and valid Medium Rigid or above driver’s licence
- A good driving history
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, criminal history check and working with children check
- Having a current NSW Driver Authority is highly desired (or be willing to obtain one)
Additional information:
Suitable applicants that do not have the required licence and Authority may be considered for suitable pathways, including paid induction and mentor training, and assistance with the Driver Authority application process.
