Joining Busuu means being part of one of the top EdTech companies in the world, a multiple award-winner recognised for its innovation and impact in language learning. Busuu’s vision is to empower people through languages. We are the world’s largest online community for language learning, with 120+ million registered users. We make learning a language easy by combining AI‑powered courses with feedback from our global community of native speakers and lesson content designed for real life. Busuu is part of the global Chegg family.

As a Product Manager on the B2C team, you will own the monetisation pillar — one of the most commercially impactful areas at Busuu. Working across the full funnel from acquisition to retention, you will shape what 120M+ learners experience as free vs. premium, and operate at the intersection of Product, Design, Engineering, I&A and Marketing. It’s a high‑impact role for someone who combines analytical rigour with creative product thinking and thrives in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment.

  • Own Busuu’s monetisation product strategy — define the free vs. premium experience, shape packaging and pricing across iOS, Android, and Web, and ensure every paywall interaction is optimised for conversion and long‑term retention.
  • Lead a continuous A/B testing programme across the full funnel — from first‑time user onboarding through paywall presentation, plan selection, and checkout — driving measurable improvements in free‑to‑paid conversion and premium renewal rates.
  • Dig into product and commercial data to surface growth opportunities and identify risks; track the KPIs that matter — new purchase bookings, free‑to‑paid CVR, renewal rates, ARPU by platform, and Premium Monthly Active Learners — and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Build strong cross‑functional partnerships — work closely with Design on best‑in‑class paywall and premium UX; with Insights & Analytics to ensure experiments are correctly instrumented and interpreted; with Engineering to deliver high‑quality features at pace; and with Marketing to align UA strategy and messaging with in‑product monetisation mechanics.
  • Represent monetisation across the wider organisation — championing a clear product vision with leadership, aligning cross‑functional roadmaps, and ensuring the team is always working on the highest‑impact problems.

What we’re looking for in a Product Manager:

  • 3–5 years of product management experience in a B2C consumer product; you don’t need to have owned monetisation before, but you should be comfortable with subscription business models and understand how users and revenue are connected.
  • A/B testing specialist: you have run a high‑velocity experimentation programme, know how to design statistically sound tests, and can interpret — and challenge — results with confidence.
  • Analytically strong and genuinely data‑driven — comfortable with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker or similar), able to cut your own data to form a point of view; SQL is a plus.
  • Deeply comfortable with agile product development — you define clear user stories, work confidently in sprints, keep engineering teams unblocked, and know when to move fast and when to slow down for quality.
  • A strong cross‑functional collaborator with a track record of aligning Design, Engineering, I&A, and Marketing around a shared product vision — and the ability to build influence without authority.
  • Commercial product instinct — you understand how subscription businesses create and capture value, and you can quickly develop strong intuition for pricing, packaging, and what drives willingness to pay, even if your direct monetisation experience is limited.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration — you don’t wait for a perfectly defined problem; you form hypotheses, test fast, and adapt confidently based on evidence.
  • Excited about the future of product — Busuu is actively investing in AI as a core part of how our product team works, and it’s one of the most exciting things happening here right now.
  • Mobile‑first product experience, ideally across a multi‑platform product (iOS, Android, Web); a strong track record in consumer subscription monetisation matters most — EdTech or language learning experience is a plus.

Benefits:

  • Our centrally located offices are well‑equipped with free breakfast, plenty of snacks and fresh fruit.
  • You get 2 free lunches per week at our office that you can choose out of a wide selection of restaurants in the area.
  • Busuu offers a great Private Health Insurance scheme.
  • There is a dedicated training budget to ensure our employees can continuously grow and progress in their careers.
  • We like to support our teams with their work‑life balance so we offer flexible working hours and a hybrid model of working.
  • We offer enhanced maternity and paternity leave (depending on location).
  • Staying connected as a team is very important to us, so we have lots of social activities for you to join such as team lunches, Thursday socials, quarterly team, and company events.
