What does a Freelance Online Italian Teacher do at Busuu?
As a Freelance Online Italian Teacher at Busuu, you’ll play a key role in helping students learn Italian effectively and confidently. On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will likely include:
- Planning, preparing, and teaching online lessons (45 minutes each) for corporate clients.
- 1:1 Lessons: Deliver private lessons that include both language teaching and personalised coaching - conducting needs analyses, assessing levels, creating bespoke learning paths, checking progress during lesson time, and setting clear goals.
- Group Lessons: Teach online group classes that focus on active learning and communication.
What we’re looking for in a Freelance Online Language Teacher:
- C2 Level of Italian
- Valid teaching certificate such as TEFL/CELTA or related university degrees
- Experience in online teaching and providing 1:1 coaching or personalised learning support
- Fluency (B1 or above) in a second language
- Comfortable teaching: presentation skills, negotiations, business email etiquette, meeting management, multicultural communication, etc.
- Excellent communication skills to engage and teach students
- High-Speed Internet, Modern Laptop / PC with a microphone and camera
- Must comply with local freelance/contractor regulations
