Are you a good communicator with a strong customer‑focused ethos with the ability to engage with learners of all ages? The Grŵp are seeking to appoint a Student Advisor to join our Learner Services department on our Llangefni campus. As an advisor, you will play an important role in the success of our learners, providing them with essential support helping them overcome personal and practical difficulties that might impact on their ability to achieve their potential.
Responsibilities
- Advice and guidance – Supporting learners navigate their journey from school to college or returning to education, and providing expert advice on courses, training opportunities and qualifications.
- Financial and Welfare – Provide a personal support service for learners on student finance/bursaries and funding, transport, and collaborate with external agencies whilst ensuring that learners receive timely and accurate guidance. Promoting the Grŵp’s Wellbeing plan.
- Administration – Processing learner applications and interview outcomes electronically.
- Events – Representing the college at recruitment events, open evenings and other activities.

- Salary: £21,262 – £23,610 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience
- Place of Work: Llangefni
- Holiday Entitlement: 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years’ continuous service (01 September to 31 August). All normally observed public holidays, determined annually. Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually. Part Time contracts will receive a pro‑rated entitlement to the above.
