Within the Independent Living programme areas, the successful person will need to be enthusiastic and flexible to support the learners within a range of life and work skills such as cooking, everyday living skills, gardening, literacy, numeracy, IT, citizenship, personal and social development and work skills at Pre Entry – level 1.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside lecturers and instructors in the classroom.
- Help students get the most out of their learning.
- Support learners with practical and physical difficulties during break times as required.

- Holiday Entitlement: Pro rata paid holiday in each academic year (1st September to 31st August), including 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and a pro-rata entitlement of up to 5 efficiency days (please note this can change annually). Annual leave is derived from a pro-rata full-time equivalent entitlement of 28 days which is included in the hourly rate paid.
- Working Pattern: 26 hours per week (Monday to Thursday); 31 weeks per year (during the college term).
- Pension Rights: Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Contract Type: Part Time Fixed Term.
