Lecturer in Computing and Information Technology in Colwyn Bay

Job Purpose

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Computing to join our established and supportive team based primarily at our Rhos-on-Sea campus. The successful candidate will teach across our Further Education and Higher Education programmes (Levels 3–6), delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences that help students develop the skills they need for industry and further study.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Computing, Computer Science or a related field.
• Practical experience in programming (Python, C#, Java).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Desirable: knowledge of databases, networking or cybersecurity; experience teaching in Further/Higher Education.

£33,595 – £51,931 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience

Holiday Entitlement

• 46 days leave per annum.
• All normally observed public holidays, determined annually.
• Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually.

Working Pattern

37 hours per week. 835 hours annual teaching time – 24 to 26 hours teaching per week. Up to 5 hours per week working off site in agreement with manager.
