Grŵp Llandrillo Menai has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Apprenticeship Coach to join our dedicated team at the Rhos-on-Sea campus. This rewarding role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 14–16 who attend college as part of their statutory education programme. As a key member of the Junior Apprenticeship team, you will provide high quality pastoral care, guidance, and mentoring, empowering learners to overcome barriers to learning and achieve successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated pastoral and in‑class support to learners enrolled on Junior Apprenticeship programmes, including Construction, Health and Social Care, Creative Industries, and Service Industries.
- Facilitate personal development activities, enrichment opportunities, active wellbeing sessions, and Personal and Social Education (PSE).
- This specialist role operates within a compulsory education framework. Learners remain on the roll of their home schools and attend college as part of a statutory programme.
- The position carries enhanced responsibilities relating to safeguarding, attendance, behaviour management, and learner engagement.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum staff, Junior Apprenticeship lecturers, schools, parents/guardians, and the Local Authority to ensure learners receive cohesive, holistic support.
- The role plays a central part in early intervention, attendance monitoring, behaviour support, personal development delivery, and transition planning.

- Holiday Entitlement: 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years’ continuous service (01 September to 31 August); all normally observed public holidays; up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum; part‑time contracts receive a pro‑rata entitlement; term‑time contracts receive a pro‑rata entitlement paid as part of annual salary.
