This exciting fixed term role, jointly funded by the Welsh Rugby Union and Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, aims to promote inclusive participation in rugby refereeing and active wellbeing activities across the Grŵp. Working closely with the Wellbeing Project Manager, Learner Services Managers, and GLLM enrichment and wellbeing staff, the role will promote and encourage and support students to accredit and volunteer as rugby referees in their communities at GLLM whilst also establishing, promoting wellbeing ambassadorial programmes and delivering learner activities to support the emotional, physical and social aspects of wellbeing. With the aim of developing the appropriate skills to ensure the learner is successfully completing their college education programme.

The GLLM Active Wellbeing & Rugby Referee Officer will contribute to the objectives relating to the academic attainment, engagement and enrichment of students; to the development of rugby union more widely within FE.

  • Holiday Entitlement: 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years’ continuous service (01 September to 31 August). All normally observed public holidays, determined annually. Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually.
