We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our successful Businesswise Team. This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office – Nelson, Lancashire). Fully Remote would be considered for the right candidate.

The Business Development Executive plays a critical role in generating new business opportunities for Businesswise Solutions. This is a high-performance, target-driven position focused on engaging senior decision-makers within medium to large UK organisations to secure qualified appointments for our field sales consultants.

Success in this role requires confidence, resilience, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate with a high level of autonomy.

  • Generate high-quality, qualified appointments for the field sales team
  • Maintain accurate records of activity and pipeline within CRM (HubSpot)
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and sales teams to align outreach with campaigns and strategic priorities
  • Take ownership of personal performance against targets, demonstrating accountability and initiative
  • Stay informed on industry trends, energy markets, and sustainability developments

Previous experience in a B2B sales, business development, or appointment-setting role is required.

  • Excellent telephone manner with strong objection-handling ability
  • Commercial awareness and ability to understand client challenges quickly
  • Desire to learn, develop, and progress within a growing business
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (preferably HubSpot)
  • Experience in a high-performance, KPI-driven environment
