Would you like to work in the intersection of business and diplomacy, interacting with executives and senior politicians? Take this opportunity as we now are looking for an Associate or Consultant to join our team in London.

Business Sweden works with leading multinational companies and start-ups across all industries, and our clients’ business is often driven by digitalization, innovation, and sustainability. Our consultancy services include market entry & growth strategies including M&A, sales acceleration, tech scouting as well as Public Affairs support. We help Swedish companies enter new markets, understand market dynamics, identify local partners, appreciate the regulatory landscape, and build out their services or product offering.

From our London office you will join Region Europe, a region within Business Sweden that operates from 14 local offices outside Sweden across Europe. Our London office is also responsible for Ireland.

The role includes both strategic, tactical and operational responsibilities such as:

  • Collecting, analysing, and presenting information and insights, which you will get from interactions with external stakeholders on the market.
  • Supporting senior colleagues in sales dialogues, by insight-driven development of new business opportunities as well as prospecting.
  • Preparing and arranging trade delegations, round table discussions and B2B meetings for Swedish companies.
  • Support in our collaboration with the Swedish Embassies in the countries we operate in, to provide support and business promotion platforms for Swedish companies.

We expect that you enjoy driving your own initiatives as well as teamwork as the role comes with a high degree of freedom and responsibility. The role is based in London, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required.

Formal requirements

  • Master of science in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent
  • Recent university degree or 1-2 years of relevant working experience e.g. consulting, business development, internationalisation.
  • Experience as Management Consultant or Strategic Business Development from Strategy or Management firms is highly meriting
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in Swedish, and/or other European language are meriting.
  • It is a plus if you have experience from living/working in different parts of the world.
  • It is a plus if you have the legal right to work in the UK.
