The role of the Billing Operations Manager is to drive and embed a best-in-class invoicing service for all Business Stream customers based on their actual consumption. You will be responsible for maximising cash flow through an effective and optimised invoicing schedule whilst keeping the number of disputes low and always ensuring full compliance with market regulation. You will work closely with the Head of Metering & Billing, Team Managers, other function heads, and teams to deliver against the business objectives and to drive focus across all functions. In addition, you will manage the agreed operational and financial budgets and enhance the operation's efficiency, maximising revenue and overseeing major initiatives around governance and control.
Utilising your experience, you will use feedback, coaching, training and other development activities to actively support, lead and develop team managers to establish a highly effective and motivated team.
About you
Prior experience of working in a similar sized organisation and ideally relevant management expertise of a department that produces bills and invoices will be essential to this role. You will have strong demonstrable experience in operational management, customer interaction, successful stakeholder management and strong people abilities, particularly the ability to train, develop, and inspire a variety of teams. In order to reduce costs, you’ll have the ability to drive process improvements that support the delivery of the key financial and customer satisfaction metrics. You’ll have the necessary leadership qualities, supported by good experience and knowledge that you can utilise to progress improvement and development of the strategy and team.
