My client works alongside a number of SMEs and large construction companies providing standard and bespoke solutions in structural steel products. This vacancy has come about due to business growth.
Tasks:
- Develop design solutions for building components to Eurocode (masonry support, lintels, wind-posts, beams).
- Using CAD design systems to put together plans and drawings.
- Perform structural analysis and simulation to assess the performance under various load conditions.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant building codes.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Develop new product ranges and proactively look for ways to improve the design.
- Cost evaluation, look for value engineered solutions.
- Prepare documentation and maintain filing for preparation of UKCA and CE approval.
- Project manage workload.
- Develop client relationships by ensuring projects are completed efficiently and professionally.
Qualifications/Skills required:
- Degree level qualifications in structural engineering (or similar).
- Design for manufacture experience.
- AutoCAD experience.
