  • JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager will take responsibility for the management and delivery of small to medium-sized ICT projects across HSCNI.

They will deliver ICT projects to time and budget in line with approved standards.

The Project Manager will work with key stakeholders for each project delivered.

They will facilitate transformation and change in relevant service areas.

  • KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and deliver small to medium-sized ICT projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop business cases and manage projects through formal approval processes.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, strategies, documentation and progress reports in line with organisational standards.
  • Manage project risks, issues and reporting, ensuring effective governance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party suppliers to procure, implement and transition ICT systems, solutions and services.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement, legal and organisational procedures when delivering projects.
  • Collaborate with Programme Managers and project teams to coordinate deliverables and minimise duplication of effort.
  • Support the implementation of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices, including compliance with ISO 20000 standards.
  • Follow IT service management processes, including change, release and configuration management.
  • Plan and support the successful transition of ICT services to customers and operational support teams.
  • Monitor ICT service performance, capacity and availability, taking proactive and reactive action to maintain service quality.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational documentation for ICT services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of regional ICT protocols, guidelines and service monitoring processes.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including maintaining and testing system recovery procedures.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for relevant ICT services during business continuity or disaster recovery events in the absence of the line manager.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

A university degree or professional qualification and have worked for at least 3 years' experience in a project management role within a major organisation; OR Have worked for at least 4 years in a project management role within a major Organisation.

Have experience of leading ICT supported projects with a budget of over £50,000. 3.

Have previous experience utilising a project methodology ( PRINCE 2, other similar methodology). 4.

Have at least 2 years' experience managing teams.

Other

Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.

This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Organisation which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
