Underwriter – Asset Finance – North West
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Asset Finance Underwriter to join a leading independent provider of Asset Finance solutions during an exciting period of growth.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Credit & Risk Manager and be responsible for drafting and presenting structured credit proposals to the Credit Committee, complying with credit policy, guidelines, and processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform credit reviews and research industry/customer-related information for all new credit proposals.
- Proactively monitor industry and sector trends for early warning signals.
- Achieve the timely turnaround of credit proposals and reviews in accordance with pre-agreed SLA’s.
- Coordinate with the Credit & Risk Director, Credit & Risk Manager, Transaction Manager, and Sales regarding all credit proposals.
- Satisfy conditions precedent prior to referring for payout.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring of clients\’ financial performance.

- Excellent credit assessment and report writing skills.
- Strong financial analysis, analytical, and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong time management capabilities.
- Knowledge of asset finance and related products.
