Underwriter – Asset Based Lending / Invoice Finance – UK Flexible
Our client, a well-established and growing Commercial Finance Provider, is seeking an experienced Underwriting and Deal Structuring professional to join their Asset Based Lending team.
The role involves acting as a conduit between the new business team and the credit committee, assessing credit applications in line with the company\’s credit policy. Responsibilities include collateral assessment, financial forecasting, and in-depth analysis of complex financial accounts. Deal sizes typically range between £1 million and £15 million.
This position requires close collaboration with the business development and risk teams to negotiate and structure complex lending transactions, ensuring effective processes are in place. The role also involves preparing legal documentation and negotiating with internal and external legal teams. You will operate with a lending mandate and oversee other technical areas of Credit and Risk.
Applicants must have previous underwriting experience in a similar lending environment and the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data. Strong communication skills are essential to confidently support your assessments.
Occasional travel around the country may be required.
