Portfolio manager – asset based lending – Midlands and South

An outstanding opportunity to join the UK subsidiary of a well-established international asset-based lending provider. Reporting to the company's UK head office in Central London, this largely home-based role involves managing a small portfolio of high-value asset-based lending relationships, with facilities typically ranging from £5m to £20m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility for the portfolio of clients.
• Providing balanced client service, retention, income generation, and risk management.
• Identifying business trends and early risk indicators, managing exposure, and exit strategies.
• Ensuring operational and relationship excellence.
• Providing client service support and full transparency on account activity.
• Maintaining strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to precision and execution.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of asset-based lending, advanced deal structuring skills, and a high level of financial acumen, including the ability to review and analyse complex business proposals and financing requirements for large corporate clients. You should be a self-starter, highly motivated team player, and able to align with the organization’s growth ambitions while sharing its risk philosophy in a competitive environment.
