The Role
This exciting role focuses on supporting marginalised young people in London on a transformative journey of developing their business ideas into functioning and growing enterprises. We are looking for a results focused individual who can champion our community of young people to build their business growth mind-sets, develop a good base of business skills, shape a positive financial future and grow meaningful networks.
We are looking for a Senior Business Coach who can not only run effective 121 Business Support sessions, and facilitate business development workshops, but also manage the team of other Business coaches to ensure as a whole Business Launchpad offers quality assured & relevant coaching.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about creating positive change and impact in young people, is able to build strong rapport with young people from different backgrounds facing different challenges, and who can take initiative to create or innovate opportunities and open doors for the clients we work with.
We are ideally looking for an individual with 3 years of business support experience, sound business knowledge and lived experiences of business development (you may have started your own business). This role would suit someone who has a business advice or development qualification, experience in youth work especially in outreach and working with young people who a harder to reach and face multiple barriers. We would welcome applicants with lived experience of facing barriers as well as applicants who have experience working with young people who have traditionally been harder to reach and face multiple barriers.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall responsibility for managing smooth & quality assured 121 support, adhering to all policies including safeguarding, data monitoring
- Collaborate with Head of Programme and Delivery to define long-term coaching strategies and align them with organisational goals.
- Line Management & professional development of other Business coaches
- Organise regular training sessions for the coaching team to enhance their skills and keep them updated on industry best practices
- Reviewing caseloads & coach capacity – analysis of supporting targets vs actuals, wait lists
- Assigns clients to a Business Coach following initial assessment
- Responsible for reporting hours of coaching/sessions per month (to Impact & Evaluation Manager) ensuring we are offering 2hours per month to all clients
- Reviewing salesforce data/notes (checking IA done, clients exited on time, inactive & dormant review)
- Manages BC facilitation rota
- Quality assurance of Business coaching (one session a month per BC)
Business Support
- Support and monitor each client’s journey at Business Launchpad, creating an inspiring, motivating, and productive environment while holding young people accountable to their business goals.
- Provide high-quality 1:1 business support to clients (personal caseload around 50-60 clients), helping them progress towards achieving business results by offering relevant information, advice, and guidance to overcome barriers and start their own business or social enterprise.
- Review applications & initial assessments and respond to inquiries.
- Oversee ideation, design, and innovation of programmes, workshops and masterclasses.
- Facilitate engaging workshops and programmes for clients
- Assist with and attend workshops and events in support of clients and colleagues.
- Stay updated with professional knowledge related to business start-up and development.
- Regularly update business coaching strategy to reflect evolving trends and challenges faced by young entrepreneurs.
- Contribute to the referral database and refer young people to external agencies and specialists as necessary.
- Proactively create opportunities to enhance clients\’ social capital.
- Development and review of client support materials.
- Support cohort programs with 1:1 business support.
- Monitors progress and key milestones of clients (case studies) and communicate to marketing team
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Evaluate and report client progress and needs to the Head of Programmes & Delivery to enhance service quality and expand support services as required.
- Responsible for client evaluation, report writing, and developing exit strategies when necessary.
- Compile accurate monthly statistics for all client support
- Contribute to the drafting of annual impact reports for 121 coaching
- Maintain organised and efficient documentation on the Salesforce CRM system while adhering to GDPR policies.
Networking, Partnership & Community Building
- Establish partnerships with external organisations, mentors, or investors to provide additional support and resources for clients.
- Facilitate networking opportunities or events for clients to build professional connections.
- Create a sense of community among young entrepreneurs by fostering peer-to-peer learning and support groups.
- Facilitate alumni networks or communities to encourage continued engagement.
Personal Attributes & Experience
- At least 3 years of business coaching, business development or programme-based delivery experience
- Run own business in past or currently
- Salesforce experience is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills, evidenced by holding managerial roles/experience
- Exceptional communication skills including being able to communicate effectively with different people from different backgrounds and experiences.
- Passion and genuine care to support young people into positive futures
- Organised and pro-active approach to work
- Accountable to meeting the charities objectives
- Collaborative and entrepreneurial
- Safeguarding Level 3 qualification (can be trained on the job).
