Overview
In this client-facing role, you will lead enterprise architecture initiatives and governance for complex transformations. You translate business strategy into architecture priorities, roadmaps and investment decisions, working with senior leaders to improve decision quality and architecture maturity. You willdrive governance forums, design authorities and knowledge management, shaping scalable architecture capabilities across BIP xTech. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategy, delivery oversight and client collaboration to grow our UK xTech practice.
Responsibilities
- Translate business strategy and operating models into EA priorities, roadmaps and investments
- Apply business capability modelling and value-stream analysis to define transformation priorities
- Develop current/target architectures and multi-year transition plans
- Define technology strategies aligned to business priorities considering debt, platforms, security and resilience
- Assess AI/generative AI implications for architecture, data governance and responsible AI
- Lead architecture governance, standards, policies and operating models
- Design and embed architecture governance, decision rights and escalation routes
- Manage architecture tooling, repositories, and knowledge management
- Lead architecture assurance and design governance across programmes
- Build client relationships, workshop and stakeholder sessions, and develop consultants within the team
- Contribute to proposals, bids and opportunity shaping
Key requirements
- 8+ years in EA, Technology Strategy, IT Governance or Architecture Consulting
- Experience leading EA or governance engagements in large, complex organizations
- Experience defining frameworks, standards, governance models and operating models
- Facilitation of Architecture Review Boards or Design Authorities
- Experience evaluating architecture tooling, business cases and roadmaps
- Experience managing client engagements, risk and quality in delivery
- Strong executive stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills
- Commercial mindset with proposal and account development experience
- Experience in consulting or professional services
