The Treasurer is part of the GTFC Management Committee and is responsible for all financial aspects of the Club, including:

  • Preparing floats, collecting and banking cash on (home) match days.
  • Bookkeeping (using Sage accounting software).
  • Monthly accounts.
  • Quarterly VAT returns.
  • Payment of suppliers.
  • Issuing invoices.
  • Setting financial strategy and preparation of budgets.

Location: The majority of work can be done from home, with the exception of match day duties and attendance at monthly Management Committee meetings. On (home) match days, the Treasurer will be expected to attend the ground to manage cash (floats and cash collection), and once a month the Treasurer will need to attend the Management Committee meetings which are held in Godalming Town Centre or at the club.
