Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College is looking to appoint a person with a finance, audit or business background to join the Corporation (Governing Body). Ideally you will have experience of working at Board level but this is not an essential requirement as training and development will be provided.

This voluntary role involves the following level of commitment:

  • Attendance at 4 Corporation meetings and 4 committee meetings per year.

Corporation meetings take place at the College in Leeds normally on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening from 5pm to 7.30pm. Most committee meetings will be held on Teams from 5.00pm also on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

The statutory duties of a governor include:

  • Approving annual estimates of income and expenditure;
  • Ensuring solvency, safeguarding of assets and financial probity;
  • Approving a 3-year financial plan;
  • Ensuring the effective and efficient use of resources.
