Thousands of volunteers across the country already give their time and expertise to support schools and academies, and we are currently seeking new governors in Somerset. School governance is one of the largest volunteer roles nationwide, offering you the opportunity to play a vital part in shaping education within the Hounslow community.
Serving as a school governor is both stimulating and rewarding. You will help influence positive outcomes for pupils, support the local community, and develop valuable skills. Responsibilities:
- Governing boards are responsible for providing strategic direction and ensuring strong accountability, oversight, and assurance of educational standards and financial performance.
- Governors meet 2-3 times a term.
