Glaven Caring is a small, community focused charity supporting residents in the Glaven Valley area of North Norfolk.

Our day centre provides care comfort and companionship to both the elderly and those suffering memory loss as well as offering information, practical and emotional support to unpaid carers caring for someone.

We provide practical help and services to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, and support independence.

We are looking to strengthen our financial oversight and are seeking someone to support our charity in one of two possible roles.

Volunteer Options We are offering two ways to contribute , depending on your interests and experience: Option 1: Volunteer Treasurer (Non-Trustee) Focused on day-to-day financial oversight and reporting.

Supports the Board but is not a member of the Trustee Board.

Ideal for someone who prefers a practical finance role without governance responsibilities Option 2: Trustee Treasurer A full member of the Trustee Board.

Shares responsibility for the strategic governance of the charity.

Provides financial leadership and input into decision-making Key Responsibilities (both roles, with scope depending on option) Oversee or manage the financial affairs of the charity.

Maintain or review accurate financial records.

Monitor income, expenditure, and cash flow.

Prepare and present financial reports.

Support preparation of: annual accounts, budgets and forecasts Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place.

Liaise with external accountants or independent examiners Additional responsibilities for Trustee Treasurer Attend Trustee meetings and contribute to governance.

Help ensure compliance with Charity Commission requirements.
