An opportunity has arisen for a new Board Director for Probus Women’s Housing Society, to fill an existing vacancy. The role is voluntary and will play an integral role in furthering the strategy and governance of the next phase for this business.
Person Specification
- Ideally, you will have knowledge/experience in at least one of the following:
- Finance & Banking
- Property
- Commercial Management
- You may have knowledge of property law or landlord/tenant experience.
You will play a key role in promoting the Society’s vision, mission, values and objectives through management oversight, accountability, good conduct and good governance.
Role and Commitment Requirements
- Four board meetings a year held during normal office hours either in London or remote.
- Potential for other ad hoc meetings as required and agreed – usually remote.
- Between meetings you may be required to review documents and correspondence via email.
- Director role is voluntary and reasonable travel expenses incurred will be reimbursed.
- Director terms are fixed for 3 years, and each member can stand for re-election.
