About The Bridge Homelessness to Hope The Bridge Homelessness to Hope are based in Leicester, we provide support and advocacy to anyone over the age of 18 who is experiencing homelessness.

What will you be doing?

The purpose of this role is to monitor the financial administration of The Bridge and advise the Board and CEO on financial matters, in line with best practice and in compliance with the governing document and legal requirements.

Alongside your fellow Trustees, you will also be responsible for the overall governance, administration and strategic direction of the charity, including developing its aims, objectives and goals in accordance with relevant organisation and legal guidelines.

Time commitment and location The candidate will ideally be based in Leicester.

The Board meets bi-monthly.

Annual AGM (in person).

Ad hoc communication in between meetings, which will be done remotely.

What are we looking for?

Qualified accountant.

Skills to analyse proposals and examine their financial consequences.

Ability to explain financial analysis clearly and make recommendations to the Board.

Willingness to be available to staff to provide advice and guidance on financial matters.

Good interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills to communicate effectively with the Board, management team and external stakeholders.

Existing Trustee experience is desirable but not essential.

Having an interest in our cause is crucial for all Trustees.

You will be committed to work we do but do not need to be knowledgeable as we will induct in this area.
