The Opportunity

As a Trustee, you will use your unique professional and life experiences to provide firm strategic direction, support our staff leadership, and champion our values. What You Will Do

  • Strategic Leadership & Advisory
    • Drive Strategy: Actively contribute to setting our overall policy, defining ambitious goals, and evaluating performance against targets.
    • Lend Your Expertise: Use your specific skills, knowledge, and background to provide nuance and guidance on new initiatives or specialized projects.
    • Support the Team: Be a sounding board for the Chief Executive Officer and senior staff for ad-hoc advice and enquiries.
    • Engage Deeply: Scrutinize board papers, lead constructive discussions, and keep the Board focused on key, high-impact issues.
    • Network what we do: Support in raising awareness to the charity’s endeavours and successes within the local and regional community.
  • Governance & Stewardship
    • Ensure Compliance: Safeguard the charity by ensuring we comply with our governing documents, charity law, company law, and relevant regulations.
    • Financial Oversight: Protect and manage our property, ensure proper investment of funds, and maintain robust financial stability.
    • Resource Allocation: Guarantee that our resources are applied exclusively to our core mission and objects.
    • Protect Our Reputation: Act as an ambassador to safeguard the good name, culture, and core values of Parity for Disability.
