Join Our Board of Trustees. Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? We are looking for committed and motivated individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help guide the strategic direction of the charity. This is a unique opportunity to support a charity making a real difference in the community.
What We’re Looking For
No formal qualifications are required — just enthusiasm, commitment, and a genuine community spirit. We especially welcome applications from people with lived experience of the challenges we address and from those underrepresented in leadership roles, including younger individuals, women, ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Shaping and overseeing the charity’s strategic direction
- Ensuring sound financial oversight and long-term sustainability
- Monitoring impact and effectiveness of our programmes
- Upholding legal, regulatory, and ethical responsibilities
- Safeguarding our values, reputation, and resources
- Advising and supporting the CEO with your expertise
- Helping build partnerships and engage funders and supporters
- Acting as an ambassador for Droitwich CVS
Location
Droitwich Spa, WR9 8QS with the majority of meetings held in person. This is a voluntary role, not compensated, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
About Droitwich Spa CVS
Our overall aim is to be a driving force in creating a connected community where every person feels valued, supported and safe. We do this by providing services that focus on the needs of the community, to improve connections and the wellbeing of local people. All of our services are developed from our values of Community, Connection and Collaboration.
Services currently include:
- A community transport scheme which takes residents with limited mobility or no access to transport, to appointments, clubs or social activities.
- Social minibus trips offering low cost transport to access places of interest.
- Volunteer recruitment for local groups and charities.
- A community fridge and cafe which aims to reduce food waste and offer hot meals.
- Social groups.
- Community information and support events.
- Family school holiday events.
- Lifestyle training such as cookery and IT.
