RoleOverview:The Volunteer Accountant roleis vital for ensuring we carefully manage donations and use funds for the benefit of our beneficiaries. We want to be transparent and be able to give funders and the broader public confidence in our financial management and operations. TheVolunteerAccountant will work closely with the Treasurer and assist with various financial tasks, including management and annual accounts, gift aid and VAT claims, and ensuring compliance with Charity Commission expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
We will look to shape thevolunteerrolearound you but responsibilities could include:
- Working with the Treasurer to present a clear picture of finances to trustees
- Maintaining accurate financial records and management accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Supporting with gift aid and VAT claims.
- Ensuring compliance with Charity Commission regulations.
Essential experience/qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounting or finance.
