A Unique Opportunity to Join The Old Bushmills Distillery. The Old Bushmills Distillery is the home of the famous Bushmills Irish Whiskey, the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery and one of the Causeway Coast's top visitor attractions, receiving approximately 200,000 visitors per year from all over the globe. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team.

The Continuous Improvement Manager (TPM) will be responsible for improving the operational efficiency, utilisation, and performance of The Old Bushmills Distillery in its continued journey towards manufacturing excellence across the site and within all departments. Ensuring the delivery of outstanding levels of safety, quality, and service. This will be achieved by engaging and taking a leading role with both employees and management. You will also assist the Bottling Manager in developing production teams and optimising capabilities.

You will play a leading role in supporting manufacturing excellence (TPM) across the business. This includes Bottling, Maturation, Distilling, Engineering, Supply Chain, Compliance and Support Services. This will involve analysis of production, wastage, and other performance data streams to prioritise, plan and action improvement projects and strategies to reach agreed operational efficiency and improve targets and, ultimately, business profitability.

To apply you must have the following:

  • 3rd Level qualification in Lean Manufacturing
  • 3 years experience in the last 5 years working in a team in a fast moving, lean six sigma production environment or 3 years in manufacturing environment with a proven competence in continuous improvement.
  • Experience in managing team-based projects and leading and embedding cultural change.
  • Experience of understanding and knowledge of engagement tools and techniques.
  • High Financial Acumen.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, whilst being a team player who can build relationships.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Health and Safety and PPM systems.
  • Understand asset performance and maintenance philosophy with excellent process improvement and/or understand manufacturing excellence in applying tools and models in operational environments.
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

  • Experience in high-speed bottling / Distilling.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar software.
  • Experience of writing procedures.
  • Management Experience.
