Working hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours

Job Description:

  • To acquire IP (intellectual property) rights from external companies to collaborate with our trading card games.
  • Source and identify new business opportunities from companies whose IP will fit into our games.
  • Negotiate and execute new/renewable license agreements to comply with contractual requirements for product titles and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Negotiate royalty and minimum guarantees with companies for their IP.
  • Create and manage licensing business documents, processes and records in both Japanese and English, including, but not limited to, licensing agreements/contracts administration, rights management, product release calendars, tracking of payment and royalties, facilitating of additional copyright licenses as necessary.
  • Assist in the approval process of licensed products and marketing materials.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, both written and oral, to liaise with Japanese speaking associates (Possesses minimum JLPT N1, or experience with using Japanese language in business settings preferred).
  • Sensitive to cultural and linguistic nuances.
  • Excellent at schedule management and multitasking.
  • Adept at working both independently and in a team.
  • Effective decision-making skills, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous and attentive to detail.
  • Has basic knowledge of games and/or anime.
  • Open to work on some weekends/public holidays for Company events.
  • Open to travel overseas for business trips when required.
