Our client is a happy young adult in the Dudley area who enjoys close relationships with her care team. She has sensory impairments resulting from a childhood brain injury, and knowledge of Makaton and sensory activities would be advantageous (training will be provided).
She enjoys support to live independently at home and likes to be out and about, with activities such as bowling, swimming, attending discos, and going to the gym being some of her favorites.
The role involves supporting the client at home and after college with personal care, therapy activities, and ensuring she has access to and enjoys leisure activities. Previous experience supporting adults or children with learning difficulties and/or brain injury is preferred.
We are seeking a permanent team member to work full-time as part of the care team, as well as casual support staff to assist on an ad hoc basis.
A full UK driving license is essential.
Hours of work:
- Shifts typically run from 2:00 pm to 11:00 am the following day, including an 8-hour sleeping night.
- At weekends and during holidays, shifts are from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm to 10:00 am.
Rates of Pay:
- Β£14.00 per hour on weekdays
- Β£12.21 per hour for sleeping nights
- Β£19.00 per hour on bank holidays
- Β£16.00 per hour on weekends
Due to the nature of the role, an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service is required.
