Support Worker Role for Complex Care

We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to support a client with complex care needs and brain injury due to an accident. The ideal candidate is bubbly, outgoing, and has a can-do attitude, providing support to promote daily living alongside another team member on a 2 to 1 basis.

The client lives in a family property designed with his needs in mind, featuring ample space and a hydro pool for rehabilitation.

The role involves supporting the client with day-to-day activities, therapies, and daily care needs. He enjoys music, swimming, chatting, and football. He is enthusiastic and has a good sense of humor. Support includes assisting with personal care, safety, nutrition, and medication administration, ensuring his dignity and well-being are maintained.

You will be required to write detailed notes on daily activities and healthcare input. Previous experience with complex needs or brain injury is desirable, but full training and support will be provided.

The position involves working on a 6-week rolling rota, with 28 hours per week, including weekdays and night shifts. The rate is £12.50 per hour during weekdays and night shifts, with time and a half on bank holidays.

An enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service is required due to the nature of the role. Candidates must hold a full clean driving license for insurance purposes. Experience or knowledge of managing challenging behaviors is desirable.
