Overview

We’re looking for a motivated and curious Junior Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Ashford. This is an exciting time to join IC24 as we continue to evolve and strengthen our Finance function whilst making finance fun!

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, this hybrid role bridges both financial and management accounting — helping to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our reporting, and supporting decision-making across our organisation. You’ll work closely with our Finance Business Partners to provide insight, process transactional tasks, and build a deeper understanding of how finance supports the front line of healthcare.

This is a hands-on, development-focused role. You’ll be encouraged to get out and about across our services, connect with operational teams, and join the dots between what’s happening on the ground and where the money’s being spent. It’s a great opportunity to grow your skills, gain exposure across all areas of finance, and build a rewarding career within a caring, values-driven social enterprise.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the production of monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and costings.
  • Assisting with financial statements, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Analysing financial performance and trends to support data-driven decisions.
  • Building relationships with operational teams to improve financial understanding across the business.
  • Supporting projects such as cost improvement plans, insurance renewals, and dashboard development.

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys numbers but also people — someone who wants to understand why things happen, not just what the figures say. You’ll thrive on variety, learning, and making a difference.

  • Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) or working towards it — we’ll support you all the way.
  • Experienced in a finance or accounts function, ideally within a complex or service-led environment.
  • Skilled in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and confident working with financial systems.
  • Naturally inquisitive, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Able to build relationships and communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.

Why IC24?

We’re a major not-for-profit Social Enterprise delivering innovative, high-quality healthcare services across the South and East of England. Every penny we make is reinvested back into our services, our people, and the communities we serve.

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working minimum of two office days per week (Monday plus one other day).
  • Salary between £30,000 – £33,736
  • Regular team meetings in Ashford, including fortnightly and monthly catch-ups.
  • Additional annual leave above statutory minimum based on service.
  • Opportunity to join the NHS Pension Scheme
  • Free 24/7 independent counselling service
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Free membership to our reward and discount platform
  • Access to Blue Light Card and other NHS Discount Schemes
