We are looking to grow our team of High Intensity Support Professionals in the North of Tasmania (Launceston and surrounding suburbs). This role requires a Certificate 3 in Individual Support, or equivalent experience.

About The Role

Some Points About This Role
- Support High Intensity participants.
- Use Active Support principles to provide high quality supports in line with participant support plans, including in-home support, personal care, meal preparation, cleaning and community outings.
- Be responsible for timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks, such as shift reports, incident reports, support documentation, reconciliation of funds.
- Shifts may vary in length from 2 to 6 hours on a 4-weekly roster. Shifts will include some day, evenings and weekend work.
As a Successful Candidate You Will Have
- Demonstrated motivation to work with people with disabilities.
- Experience supporting High Intensity participants, including proven ability to support individuals in line with behaviour support plans.
- Strong understanding of client safety, restrictive practices and NDIS guidelines.
- Willingness to undertake training in working with individuals who present with challenging and/or aggressive behaviours.
- A strong desire to have a positive effect on people with disabilities, and a commitment to supporting and promoting their individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals.
- IT skills to a level where you are able to use the Microsoft Office suite, complete shift reports, maintain a communication diary, program notes etc.
- Sound communication skills – verbal and written.
- Desire and commitment towards working with people from diverse cultures.
- Good standards of professional behaviour.
What qualifications you’ll need to be successful in this role:
- Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent experience.
- First Aid & CPR.
- Assist Clients with Medication.
- Current and unrestricted drivers licence.
- Working with Vulnerable People and NDIS Screening Check.
