The Pharmacy services operate across all Alfred Health sites and are well recognised nationally and internationally for high quality, innovative, patient-focused services, education, and training programmes as well as significant research output. The Pharmacy Department also plays a pivotal role in managing the electronic medication management system within our comprehensive electronic medical record (Cerner), with an advanced level of integration linking this to the Pharmacy Dispensing (iPharmacy) and Automated Medication Storage systems (Omnicell). This is complemented by a strong clinical presence and a Centre for Medicine Use and Safety program to achieve a considered, safe, and financially responsible approach to medication management within Alfred Health.
The Pharmaceutical Management team within the Pharmacy Services Department at Alfred Health is dedicated to the procurement, distribution, and governance of medication supply across all Alfred Health sites.
A Procurement and Inventory Technician will perform the following activities including, but not limited to:
- Procurement
- Inventory Management - Ward Drug Distribution
The successful applicant will be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team to ensure the above activities are performed at all sites across the organisation. Rotation through these team activities will lead to a comprehensive understanding of the medication management supply portfolio within a public hospital setting.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Excellent communication skills and team building skills

- Previous store and stock control experience
- Experience with i.Pharmacy Computer System
- Hospital pharmacy experience
