What You Will Do

We have an opportunity for a permanent Personal Assistant to join the Te Tari o te Tumu Whakarae | Vice-Chancellor\’s Office.

In this pivotal role, you will provide crucial support within the Vice Chancellor\’s Office Administration Team and support associated management committees by delivering a wide range of high-level administrative services. You\’ll be the go-to person for managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing documents, and handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Mōu | Who You Are

You will be an experienced Personal Assistant or Senior Administrator with at least 4-6 years\’ experience in a senior administrative or Personal Assistant role, ideally in a large organisation. You will also have :

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong customer focus and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Outstanding organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality
  • An alignment with our organisation\’s values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Cheryl de la Rey has responsibility for the overall leadership of UC, reporting to the University Council. Professor Cheryl de la Rey leads the Senior Leadership Team and is the equivalent of the Chief Executive of the University. You will work in the Vice Chancellor\’s Office Administration Team.
