The Role

ABC Local Radio in Melbourne has a leadership role available which is responsible for leading and managing local metro activities and community engagement. This role will be permanent, working from the Southbank office.

The Job :

• Manage program direction for 774 ABC Radio Melbourne through the selection, evaluation and scheduling of content to attract, engage and build linear and digital audiences.
• Lead ABC community engagement and stakeholder management in the market.
• Oversee the management of operational resources and budgets.

About You

We are looking for a creative leader with an analytical eye who has experience in successfully influencing and directing strategic development in a complex stakeholder environment.

You will also have extensive senior management experience, with a strong understanding of the dynamic media industry and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and change projects at scale in a large complex matrix environment.

You\’ll have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience establishing rapport, credibility and collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

You\’re passionate about storytelling and technological developments in media, and their potential to enrich the experience of audiences and connect communities.
