About the Opportunity
We have a rare opportunity for an established real estate sales leader to join the team. The General Manager (Sales) position will foster strong relationships with our vendor partners (both public and private vendors), drive sales outcomes for our vendor partners, generate ideas to meet the market to exceed sales targets and deliver an exceptional and professional service level to our vendors.
Working amongst a team of three Victorian General Manager peers, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of an allocated project portfolio delivering the overall strategic objectives of projects to enhance sales growth and increase market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership – Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets.
- Team Management – Recruit, train, and lead a motivated sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and success.
- Strategic Planning – Identify growth opportunities, analyse market trends, and implement plans to expand market share.
- Vendor Focus – Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring vendor satisfaction and loyalty.
- Financial Management – Monitor budgets and optimise resource allocation to maximize profitability. Managing overdue debtors, file registrations, out files and other key financial metrics.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (preferable) and demonstrated experience in sales management in a fast-paced results-driven environment.
- Qualifications to sell residential property.
- Significant experience in managing the project marketing aspects of land projects.
- Experience in administrative functions in relation to finance to be able to converse with the Vendors.
- Ideas driven and sales results focused.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Digitally savvy with ability to learn and embrace new digital systems.
- Exceptional planning and organising skills in order to meet and exceed deadlines and performance targets.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding in the use of CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Energetic and engaging – able to create rapport with a wide range of people and project a positive image for Oliver Hume.
