We are on the lookout for a reliable and physically fitcasual team member to join our team at the Timaru Port.

About this Role:
As a Stevedore (Wharf Hand) youβll be part of a teamresponsible for the safe loading and unloading of cargo from ships on theTimaru Container Terminal.
This could include:
- Lashing and Unlashing containers.
- Handling cargo using strops and chains.
- Removing and inserting twist locks intocontainers.
- Nightshift (usually 7pm-7am) and Dayshift available
Requirements for the Role
- A reasonable level of fitness β most days willbe spent on your feet
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- Full car license preferred but not essential
- A high level of Health and Safety Awareness.
- Previous experience not necessary
