This role features a hybrid work arrangement, with four days in the office to promote collaboration, build strong connections, and enhance team engagement. The Bank Reconciliation Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions by reconciling bank accounts, receivables, and cash deposits. This role involves monitoring banking activities, investigating discrepancies, managing merchant accounts, and supporting internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and experience in accounting systems. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance team while ensuring compliance and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor banking activities to detect and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, receivables, and cash deposits.
- Investigate transactions to prevent fraud and ensure compliance.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing required documentation.
- Handle AR invoicing, payment follow-ups, and revenue-related inquiries.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards and reconciliation procedures.
Skills, Attributes, and Experience:
- Accounting qualifications (professional accreditation is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and banking systems.
