After School Care Lead

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring After School Care Assistant to join our team at Busbridge Infant School.

This rewarding role involves supporting children within our after-school provision, helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where children can relax, play and thrive at the end of the school day.

The successful candidate will

  • Have a passion for making a positive difference to the lives of young children.
  • Be warm, caring and able to build positive relationships with children aged 4–7 years.
  • Have high expectations for all children and enjoy working as part of a dedicated team.
  • Be enthusiastic, organised and able to support a range of activities appropriate for infant-aged children.
  • Be willing to get involved in creative play, games, crafts and other enrichment activities.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Have experience of working with young children (desirable but not essential).
  • Be able to create a fun, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can enjoy a range of play, creative and leisure activities after the school day.

Our thriving School Centred Initial Teacher Training establishment (SCITT) supports over 100 trainees, and South Farnham School is proud to be a designated Teaching School Hub, reflecting our commitment to excellence in education and professional development.

The role is 10 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 15:30-1800, term time only (38 weeks per year).
