We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and skilled Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and thrive in a supportive school environment.

Why Join Hazel Wood High School

This is a truly inclusive and diverse community where we foster a culture of mutual respect, responsibility and aspiration. At Hazel Wood, our team of highly motivated staff, in partnership with our young people, parents and governors, work incredibly hard to ensure that all our students have the opportunity to achieve the best possible outcomes, both academically and pastorally. We aim to ensure that we create a stimulating and disciplined environment, and to recognise that successful education lies in supporting the welfare of the whole child: their safety, health and happiness.

We believe in discipline in the true sense of the word, teaching our young people self-control and the resilience to keep working when things get difficult, therefore preparing our young people to be successful adults. We are looking for a colleague who shares the clear vision that the child is at the heart of everything we do. One who can enjoy positive, professional relationships with young people and who demonstrates high levels of resilience and emotional intelligence. Every child is entitled to an outstanding education where they have excellent opportunities to achieve beyond their potential. We strive to develop the aspirations and values of every student and member of staff.

This role is a key part of our growth strategy and could be an excellent opportunity for the right candidate ready for their next step. We are a values driven organisation, highly ambitious, and passionate about doing things with integrity whilst maintaining a good sense of humour.

We would be happy to arrange a visit to the school, where we can discuss with you the importance of the school within the local community and how, by working with us, you can be part of the team that builds on the past, ensures performance in the present and prepares the students for their future successes.
