Community Educational Psychology Service
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Community Educational Psychology Service. You will play a core part in the delivery of psychological services and support to education and community settings.
- Training and development work, involving wellbeing programmes and mental health support teams
- Innovative project work
- Group work with children, young people, families and communities
- 1:1 mentoring/therapeutic work with children and young people
- Evaluation of service delivery
- Administration
- Direct individual work with CYP, including statutory assessment work
Requirements of the post:
- To be a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist with HCPC registration, or in year 2 or 3 of doctoral training.
- Relevant experience of working with children in educational / clinical or community settings to promote children’s well-being and progress;
- Evidence of using psychological understanding and approaches to support practice;
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
