We are looking to appoint a permanent Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with our team in our SEND Intervention Provision to deliver high-quality learning experiences for pupils with SEND. The successful candidate will support individuals and small groups both in and outside the classroom, helping to implement tailored learning programmes and contribute to planning and resource preparation. The role involves promoting an inclusive, positive learning environment, supporting pupils’ development, independence, and wellbeing, and assisting with personal care where required. You will monitor progress, provide feedback, and help maintain accurate pupil records. Working closely with teachers, you will support lesson delivery, behaviour management, and the use of effective teaching and assessment strategies, including early years frameworks (where applicable) and ICT.

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • Experience of working in a primary school setting with children with SEND
  • An understanding of a range of additional needs, such as autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and learning difficulties.
  • Experience of working with small groups and 1-1 meeting their needs
  • Experience of liaising with class teachers and other agencies
  • Experience of administering interventions
  • A strong teamwork ethos that shows commitment and positivity to working in a challenging yet rewarding environment
  • A desire to be flexible and proactive
  • A real passion for children and supporting their learning
