St. Luke’s C of E Primary School is looking to appoint four permanent Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work with our team across the school to deliver high-quality learning experiences for pupils, including those with SEND. The successful candidates will support individuals and small groups both in and outside the classroom, help to implement tailored learning programmes, and contribute to planning and resource preparation.

The roles involve:

  • Promoting an inclusive, positive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils’ development, independence, and wellbeing
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback
  • Maintaining accurate pupil records
  • Supporting lesson delivery and behaviour management
  • Using effective teaching and assessment strategies
  • Supervising classes in the short-term absence of a teacher
  • Supporting extracurricular activities
  • Contributing to the overall ethos and success of the school

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • Experience of working in a primary school setting
  • Experience of working with small groups, 1-1 and whole classes, meeting their needs
  • Experience of liaising with class teachers and other agencies
  • Experience of administering interventions
  • A strong teamwork ethos that shows commitment and positivity
  • A desire to be flexible and proactive
  • A real passion for children and supporting their learning
  • Either a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (NNEB), NVQ III in Early Years and Education, BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing) or an equivalent qualification

For Position 4, we are seeking to appoint a dedicated, resilient and compassionate person with an understanding of a range of additional needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and learning difficulties.
