About the role
The Governing Body and Headteacher of St Mary’s CE (Aided) Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated pupil support teaching assistant (Level 2) to join our dedicated KS1 team supporting the learning of pupils in KS1. Our teaching assistants play a vital role in the educational, personal and social development of our children. We require all our staff to be friendly, hardworking, flexible and able to use their own initiative.
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic, creative and caring professional, with knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum, phonics and SEND provision.
- Recent experience of working in KS1/EYFS setting.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and experience of supporting and adapting learning for children with SEND.
- Experienced additional SEN training.
- High expectations of empathy and care.
- Ability to liaise with KS1 team, take direct instruction from class teacher and collaborate with other staff.
- Ability to form strong and professional working relationships with parents, carers, colleagues and professionals.
- Hard work, initiative and willingness to follow school policies and procedures.
