About the role

Falcon & Griffin is an Extra Care Scheme for individuals aged 55 and over, offering independent living with on-site care and support. Staff work on site from 8am – 10pm, 365 days a year, with emergency off-site support overnight.

Falcon and Griffin work in close partnership with social workers, housing providers, and other multi-disciplinary agencies. Customers are assessed via the social work team and care packages are provided on site. Working as part of a small team, you will provide a high-quality, reliable support service to enable our customers to develop individualised person-centred support plans that achieve positive outcomes while promoting choice and independence. You will encourage and motivate customers and assist them to build confidence and achieve personal goals following their support plan.

Responsibilities & Requirements

You will be proactive, flexible, and resilient, with a good understanding of the care needs of adults aged 18 and over, strengths-based support, maximisation of rosters, and electronic call monitoring within a home care environment. You must be able to manage competing priorities, follow management instructions to ensure service safeguards, communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and use Excel and electronic call systems proficiently. Staff work on a rota basis between 8am and 10pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year. There is a matrix payment schedule for weekend and unsociable hours.
