Bury Employment Support and Training (Bury EST) is looking to appoint a highly motivated individual into a Support Assistant post. This is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders in generating income for the Bury EST service and developing income ideas to enable the service to continue to operate as a Trading Account.
Ideally, the candidate will be able to provide the highest standards of professional and practical support to disabled and disadvantaged customers under the direction of the Bury EST Team Leader, Employment Officer and Operational staff, developing an individual’s skills to reach their potential, whether this is employment or life skills/independence.
On a personal level, our ideal candidate will be a confident and assertive individual with excellent communication and inter-personal skills. They will possess the knowledge and understanding of the social, physical and emotional needs of people and be able to provide evidence of their experience and skills in offering practical support.
Normal hours of work are 24 hours per week (The service operates Mon-Fri 9.30am-3.30pm; the requirement is 4 days per week and the days will be dependent on the demands of the service).
