East Ward Community Primary School is seeking a passionate, skilled, and dedicated Class Teacher within our specialist Resourced Provision, the Honey Pot. Our 22-place provision caters for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), primarily those with a diagnosis of Autism and/or Speech, Language and Communication Needs. Places are allocated through the Local Authority’s Special Educational Needs Team. East Ward Primary School has recently been graded by Ofsted (January 2026). Inclusion was highlighted as ‘Strong Standard’, with our Resourced provision being identified as a success.

Responsibilities

  • Work with children with Autism and/or speech, language and communication needs, or support those with special needs and disabilities.
  • Collaborate with two other teachers, the SENCo, and Resourced Provision lead to deliver inclusive and adaptive teaching practices.
  • Participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
  • Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring they are protected from harm.
