It’s an exciting time across the townships of Bury with spades in the ground, creating new spaces for people and businesses and more plans in the pipeline. This is a role for a creative individual to tell the story of Place, to share exciting developments and opportunities that are making our Borough a destination for investors, businesses, and visitors. You will sit within the Place Directorate, a broad team striving to make Bury a great place to live, work and play.
Here are the key expectations of this exciting role:
- Lead on creating engaging, educational, and entertaining content with a positive message for a wide range of marketing platforms, promoting Bury to its residents, businesses, visitors and inward investors.
- Positively highlighting key regeneration developments, promoting the latest news stories, details of consultations, investment opportunities and initiatives within the Place Directorate and across other directorates and partnerships.
- Work across council services and related partner organisations to provide interesting content on a weekly basis.

The nitty gritty: Attendance at early morning and evening meetings will be required, so you will need to be flexible and committed to working outside normal office hours. Hours of work are 37 per week and an extended flexi-time scheme is in operation.
